Ortheptera

Orthoptera is a group of insects which contains grasshoppers, crickets and katydids. Many of these insects are both agricultural pests but also trademarks of summer evenings. Male grasshoppers and katydids both produce special sounds and have modified wings to amplify and broadcast their music. Larra bicolor wasps were intentionally released in order to combat the southern mole cricket.
